CWA/DE State 911 Dispatchers/Civilians Bargaining Report #5

On August 2 the CWA 13101 bargaining teams met the Delaware state police bargaining teams for 2 contracts which expired June 30.

The CWA bargaining teams passed comprehensive proposals for both CBAs in an attempt to move the process along and start dialogue focusing on the critical issues. The issues of quality of life as well as fair pay both need to be resolved in order to reach an agreement.
The CWA bargaining teams' comprehensive packages removed several proposals and modified others to show the genuine interest in reaching an agreement.

Delaware state police bargaining teams have yet to provide the same level of movement from their position of NO INTEREST. The Delaware state police bargaining teams have not countered or substantiated their methodology rejecting  every meaningful  proposal passed to this point.
The Delaware state police bargaining teams had many questions about the process of a comprehensive proposal, but had no proposals at all to present to the CWA bargaining team at this meeting.

The next scheduled meeting is August 19.
