The CWA Bargaining Committee met with Piedmont during the week of March 4th. They reported that they “reached 16 Tentative Agreements, but there is more work to do!” There is still missing information that Piedmont has not provided, but the bargaining team will not be deterred from negotiating a fair contract for members.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

This month, striking workers in production and advertising accepted a buyout offer after the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette outsources production of its print edition. TNG-CWA Local 38061 members who work as journalists and newsroom staff remain on strike.

Following the buyout, a federal court ordered the Post-Gazette to restore the healthcare of the workers still out on strike. The Union submitted demands to restore healthcare for Local 38061 members, as well as for new bargaining dates.

To help striking workers turn this court victory into a strike victory, will you sign this petition telling the PG what it's going to take to get back readers like you

ZeniMax (Locals 2100 & 2108)

In their latest newsletter, CWA Local 2108 reported that members of ZeniMax Workers United-CWA are taking a strike vote as bargaining continues with the Company. The Local explains:

A strike authorization vote is a formal step in authorizing a strike, but it does not automatically mean that a strike is imminent or guaranteed to happen. It simply means the members are authorizing the National CWA President, Claude Cummings, to declare a strike if circumstances justify it. The CWA Constitution requires a membership vote to authorize the President of the Union to call a strike if necessary.
