DSP Bargaining Update: Tentative Agreement

The CWA Local 13101 Bargaining Committee reports:

Finally some great news for our Delaware State Police members, we have reached a tentative agreement between CWA and and DSP! Some highlight of the 3 year agreement(s) are 14% the first year, 9% the second and 4% the final. (to be paid the first full pay period of July). We were able to get the forced overtime language addressed. The 4 hour block and schedule  for our dispatchers will be addressed. We just need to get the schedule portion written and gone over with the bargaining team. We hope to have the written proposal for the schedule by next Friday [05/12/2023].

The next step in the process will be contract explanation so we can go over EVERYTHING in detail. Then it will be put out to the members for a vote. While we did not get everything we passed across the table, I believe that we addressed the major concerns of our members, and this is an agreement you can be proud of.

I know this has been a stressful time, I would like to thank all of you for hanging in there. I would also like to take this time to thank the bargaining team. Jim Ryan, Darlene Rentz, Brandy Cahall, Deb Tucker, James Tepfenhart, Scott Warren, Philana Gibbs-Mullen, Megan Milligan, and Kristen Jackson.
