Frontier VA-WV Bargaining 2023 Bargaining Report #8
On Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:15 PM, the CWA Bargaining Committee reported:
The Bargaining Committees continued to have bargaining sessions this afternoon and into the night.
As bargaining continued into the evening, we had a number of meetings with the company. Although there is still much ground to cover to properly care for the members’ priorities, there has been some progress. Additional time is needed, but the Union Bargaining Committee believes we are moving towards the contract that our members deserve. The Union continues to focus on the member’s issues that include benefits, reducing contractors and increasing full time jobs, wages and compensation, working conditions and safety, and work-at-home.
The Union has agreed to the Company’s request to extend all provisions of the current contract, which was originally to expire on August 5, 2023, until August 19, 2023, at 11:59 PM. The Union Bargaining Committee also agreed to extend the Emergency Work at Home agreement until August 19, 2023, at 11:59 PM.
Mobilization is critical to our success, and we must be engaged. The time to step up is now! Every member needs to contact your local mobilizer to find out about the next mobilization.
IT’S YOUR FIGHT! IT’S YOUR CONTRACT! MOBILIZE!
