Frontier WV Extension Bargaining Report #1
The current collective bargaining agreement between Communications Workers of America and Frontier Communications, covering employees in West Virginia and Virginia, is set to expire August 7, 2021.
Frontier approached CWA proposing the parties engage in discussions to extend the current contract rather than entering into full-scale bargaining. The Union Bargaining Committee, with input from Local Presidents, agreed to enter into limited negotiations aimed at an extension.
The Company has provided the Union its outline of possible terms of an extension. The Bargaining Committee is reviewing and will respond to the Company next week. An agreement, if reached, will be subject to ratification by the members in the bargaining unit.
The next Bargaining Report will be provided on Friday, July 2, 2021 (unless discussions merit sooner).
