Frontier WV/VA 2017 Bargaining: Report 14

For the week of September 18 - September 22, 2017

The Union Bargaining Committee, the Company Bargaining Committee, the Healthcare Consultant and representatives from Segal Consulting (the actuarial firm) met this week. Segal Consulting provided a presentation showing an analysis of our medical plan.

The issue of healthcare has been moved to a sub-committee. All members of the Union Bargaining Committee are participating. The sub-committee on healthcare allows for review of the information Segal provided and a discussion forum outside of formal bargaining. Segal will return on October 2, 2017 with additional information and answers to questions that were asked in this week’s meetings.

With just six weeks remaining until the expiration of our contract on November 4, 2017, everyone needs to be engaged in their local’s mobilizations. Remember that every mobilization action impacts what is happening at the bargaining table.
