Frontier WV/VA 2017 Bargaining: Report 15
For the week of September 25 – September 29, 2017
The Union and Company met this week.
The parties discussed proposals previously presented by the Union. The Company rejected the Unions proposal to eliminate the use of contractors and subcontractors.
The Company restated its goal of gaining “flexibility” by eliminating provisions of our contract that guarantee work be performed by our members. The Union reemphasized its absolute resolve and intent to maintain those protections.
The sub-committee on healthcare, along with Segal Consulting and the healthcare consultant, will meet next week.
With only five weeks remaining until the extension expires on November 4, 2017, it is important to stay focused and prepared and to mobilize. Contact your Local to find out how you can show your support.
