Frontier WV/VA 2017 Bargaining: Report 20

For the week of October 30 – November 03, 2017

The Union Bargaining Committee and Company Bargaining Committee met this week.  The Company presented revisions to its proposals on Vacation Scheduling Percentages and Absence From Duty.  A lengthy conversation was held regarding the West Virginia State Based Call Routing.

Currently, the next firm date for bargaining is December 4, 2017 with the possibility of meeting several times in November depending upon the Company’s availability.

Bargaining progress has been slow as we wait for the Company to present their full agenda.  This is a war of attrition with the Company counting on our members losing sight of our goal.  We cannot allow this to happen!  We must mobilize our members and keep the focus on our agenda.  Management continues to state that our contract must change because they have no other contract like it anywhere else.  We cannot stress enough to the membership that the Company is looking to take away things we have fought so hard for, while giving nothing in return.

The Union Bargaining Committee remains committed to negotiating a contract that maintains our security and standard of living.  Frontier chose us; we didn’t choose them.
