Frontier WV/VA 2017 Bargaining: Report 29
March 1, 2018
The Union Bargaining Committee and Company Bargaining Committee met today. The Union asked for clarification of items in the Company’s package offer, including components of the Company’s healthcare proposal. There was a lengthy discussion around the Company’s use of contract labor. After a recess, the Union presented a wage proposal. The Union restated that for this round of bargaining, employment security for every member, quality affordable healthcare, and the elimination of contractors are our members’ top issues. There are still open issues and there is much work to be done.
There are two days left until contract expiration. The Union Bargaining Committee continues to work day and night in hopes of reaching an agreement by the expiration. The Union Bargaining Committee is energized by the excellent mobilizations throughout the state. And the support from across District 2-13. Check out the WV Fighting for our Future Facebook page to see all the support.
