LifePath 2017 Bargaining: Report 6
Bargaining resumed yesterday, September 11, 2017 in Allentown.
LifePath made amendments to its Medical plan proposal that began movement in the right direction as part of a comprehensive proposal. LifePath also, for the first time, included a wage proposal.
Although, this was a good first step, your Bargaining Team noted LifePath’s failure in addressing most of the balance of our Bargaining Agenda including substantial improvements to the 401K, improvements to PTO accrual and Payout upon Resignation, improvements to Holiday Incentives, shift differentials and pay upgrades when performing certain duties, improvement to the inclement weather provisions and the Short Term Disability plan. We will be working on presenting a responsible comprehensive counter offer for settlement that reflects the legitimate needs of the membership.
Bargaining is scheduled to resume on Thursday, September 21, 2017, and then we will enter the final week of negotiations prior to the contract expiration date of September 30, 2017.
Let your supervisor and LifePath know that you demand and deserve a fair contract.
In the tradition of CWA, we ask that you wear RED on Thursday to show support of your Bargaining Team and each other.
STRONGER TOGETHER!
