MissionWired First Contract Bargaining: Report #14
The CWA Local 2336 Bargaining Committee reported from Thursday, December 5 negotiations:
Hello fellow members:
Your CWA bargaining committee met with MissionWired today for another negotiation session. The Union passed 5 new proposals dealing with Military Leave; Bereavement Leave; Volunteer Time Off; Religious and Cultural Observances and Holidays. In the Holiday proposal the Union is seeking to add an additional paid holiday as well as include “Summer Fridays” as part of the contract.
MissionWired gave 3 counters to the Union’s proposals on Artificial Intelligence: Neutrality and Probationary Period. MissionWired is seeking to implement an established probationary period for new hires.
The Union has now moved into passing proposals on different leaves and part of the economics with different paid time off. Soon we will be addressing wages and benefits after the new year and need everyone involved.
The Committee is scheduled to meet next on December 19th, 2024.
Bargaining is a whole team effort, and it could not be done without the support of our members. Please wear RED the day of our next scheduled bargaining session on Thursday, December 19th to show support for and solidarity with the CWA Bargaining Committee.
Your bargaining committee,
Lisa Fazzini-CWA Staff Representative-Bargaining Chair
