MissionWired First Contract Bargaining: Report #20

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the CWA Local 2336 Bargaining Committee reported:
Your CWA bargaining committee met with MissionWired today for another negotiation session. The Union passed 3 new proposals. Two of the proposals dealt with different protected benefits/policies regarding paid leave following the birth of a child and for accommodations during pregnancy. The Union made some slight improvements to the paid leave but mostly codified language currently found in the handbook. A new proposal regarding Digital Privacy was also passed by the Union. This proposal protects against unnecessary surveillance. MissionWIred passed 1 counter that combined EEO/Harassment/Discrimination and Civil Rights together.
The committees discussed setting up their next meeting to address practices on the Digital production team. The Union’s goal is address and improve any inconsistencies that may be happening for on-call and working beyond business hours.
The Committee is scheduled to meet next on Thursday, July 17th, 2025. We have just a few more language and leave proposals to pass but then will move into presenting our economic proposals late in July.
Bargaining is a whole team effort, and it could not be done without the support of our members. Please wear RED the day of our next scheduled bargaining session on Thursday, July 17th to show support for and solidarity with the CWA Bargaining Committee.
