OSBC First Contract Bargaining Report #3
On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the CWA Local 13101 Bargaining Committee reported:
Our newly organized CWA Local 13101 members of the Office of the State Bank Commissioner considered a State proposal for settlement of their first contract today. The Bargaining Team decided to present the details for a membership vote without recommendation given the rules in Delaware. After considering the State’s three year proposal, the membership voted to reject the proposal as wholly inadequate.
Under State budget legislation for merit employees, an agreement on wages must be agreed and ratified no later than April 30, 2024 to take effect July 1, 2024. Absent an agreement, a 2% State Merit raise goes into effect.
We fully support our OSBC members in their demand for a fair and equitable contract. They deserve a contract that reflects the value, experience and professionalism they provide every day. They deserve compensation commensurate with surrounding states (PA,NJ,MD) and the FDIC. They deserve to have their seniority time recognized on a wage scale.
The State has been notified and a request for future Bargaining dates has been made.
Thank You for all your continued support.
Your Bargaining Committee.
