SuperMedia Bargaining 2012: Report Dated February 1, 2012

At today’s bargaining meeting the Union presented its proposals on:

  • Moving the Bensalem and Chadds Ford Offices to Pay Area 3 and Bethlehem and Monroeville to Pay Area 2;
  • Establishing a Healthcare Review Committee to discuss ways to contain rising healthcare cost without dramatic cuts in our current medical plan design as proposed by the Company;
  • Permitting employees to select at least one available HMO in place of the Company sponsored medical plan in each geographic area;
  • Providing the Union with the right to challenge the base pay rate established for new sales titles through a neutral third party. Today we have that right for support titles, but not for new sales titles;
  • Improvements in the PIP such as making the current 95% attainment threshold permanent, and treating a Rep who transfers to a new sales position to accumulate his or her time in the new and previous positions when determining which PIP seniority track one is following;

The Union discussed and asked for additional information on the severance plan, car allowance plans and the sick pay policy.

The Company advanced no new proposals at today’s meeting.

The bargaining teams will meet again tomorrow. The Union hopes to complete its presentation of all remaining agenda items by tomorrow.
