SuperMedia Bargaining Report: February 10, 2012

The current Collective Bargaining Agreement, expected to expire at Midnight tomorrow (2/11/12), has been extended by mutual agreement to March 15, 2012.

The parties spent today trying to find a way to respond to the Company’s proposals to reduce healthcare and other Benefits expenses. The Union rejected the Company’s original Benefit change proposals as simply shifting excessive cost-sharing burdens to its Union-represented workforce.

At the end of the day the bargaining chairs for the Union and the Company agreed to step back from the formal bargaining arena to consider alternative ways to respond to the legitimate needs and concerns expressed by both parties.

No formal bargaining meetings are scheduled at this time. In the meantime, membership meetings are being scheduled at each work location. Please check with your Union office or with your Union Stewards for further details.
