VCS Bargaining 2011: Report # 20

Your Bargaining Team met with the Company earlier today as well as tonight and there were discussions concerning information we had received earlier from the Company and as usual there were very few answers that were provided to your Committee. At the conclusion of these discussions, the meeting was adjourned until Friday August 12th. Again today the Company has done nothing to do away with the RETROGRESSIVE demands they have on the table. It does not appear that the Company has heard our message as to where they need to put these demands. We need to tell them as strongly as we can what they can do with them and also let them know that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. It is time for the Company to get serious about coming to the table and negotiating a FAIR AND EQUITABLE agreement. To this point they can’t even spell those words much less understand what they mean and it is up to each of us to teach them what these words mean now.

This is the time that we must stay strong on the picket lines and we must continue to let the Company know that WE WILL NOT GO BACK. With your continued strength on the picket lines we will prevail in this fight. Hang tough and together we will move forward for the betterment of each of us and our families.
