VCS Bargaining 2011: Report # 35

Your VCS Bargaining Team met with the Company again on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and continued to discuss the many outstanding issues that remain on the table. To date, these discussions have not generated any positive results since up to now the Company’s position has been that the Union either accepts what they propose or it’s nothing. In other words, IT’S THEIR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. With what they currently have on the table, we cannot reach a FAIR AND EQUITABLE agreement. Until they pull every RETROGRESSIVE demand off the table it will be very difficult to make any progress. We cannot and will not allow the Company to reduce each of you to second class citizens which will negatively impact you and your family for years to come. We will be meeting with the Company next week and we will continue to negotiate with the Company in an attempt to satisfactorily resolve our differences. Your continued support is essential in order for your Committee to resolve these issues. We need each of you on a daily basis to let the Company know THAT WE WILL NOT GO BACK. It is up to each of us to keep the pressure on this Company until they finally realize that we will not accept their RETROGRESSIVE demands and that the only direction we will move is FORWARD.
