VCS Bargaining 2011: Report # 42

Your VCS Bargaining Team met with the Company again this week and unfortunately there has been very little, if any, progress to date. Your Committee gave the Company a detailed counterproposal during the week of February 13th dealing with their most recent RETROGRESSIVE proposal on Healthcare and to date they have not responded. We are scheduled to meet again during the week of March 12th and maybe lightning will strike and the Company will be in a position to discuss this very important issue in a positive fashion versus what we have had to deal with to this point in our discussions with the Company. All your Committee has heard from the other side of the table since June has been almost totally negative. It is time for this corporation to realize that each of you are a major part of the reason they are doing so well and that each of you deserve to share in that success. We need each of you to help this Committee get that message to the people at the top of Verizon. We must continue to MOBILIZE everyday so we can make sure this Company clearly understands that we will not go BACKWARDS and that we are prepared to do what is necessary to accomplish that goal. Together we can prevail but we must continue to turn up the heat because that is the only thing that this group of GREEDY corporate executives understands. One of our main targets must continue to be every Verizon Wireless Store throughout our areas, coordinated with your Local, as well as our other activities on the job and in our communities. Each of us must involve our families, friends and communities in this fight so this corporation clearly understands that we are not willing to go BACKWARDS. In order for all of us to be successful, your assistance is essential to accomplish our goals in this round of negotiations. Thanks for your support in the past and now more than ever we need your continued support so we can all win this FIGHT!!
