Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 11
The Union met briefly today regarding Common Issues with the Company. During the meeting the Union requested data regarding the issue of absence. The Common Issues table is scheduled to reconvene tomorrow.
The deadline for reporting on the strike authorization vote is upon us. The votes are being tallied and the announcement will come any day now. The Bargaining Committee is encouraged by the more than 8,000 participants on this evenings Bargaining Mobilization town hall meeting phone call. We heard reports about dozens of buses coming to New York from New England to Virginia. Thousands of our Union Sisters and Brothers will gather at Verizon Headquarters on Saturday to greet the new CEO of Verizon and let Mr. McAdams know that we deserve our fair share of the billions Verizon has made in profits. If you haven’t yet made the commitment to be there, time is running out. Contact your local today and let them know you will be there. Join us for a good time and a great day as we bring the message directly to Lowell that WE WILL NOT GO BACK!
NOW MORE THAN EVER WE NEED TO MOBILIZE!
