Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 42

Your Regional Committees continue to work on proposals regarding Jobs, Call Sharing, Absence and Healthcare.  In addition to research costing out proposals we have our attorney reviewing language for clarity as well.  The Union committee is still expecting additional information from the company regarding contracting and hearlthcare.  We will update you as soon as new information is available.

We are hearing about all kinds of rumors running rampant in the workplace and want to encourage Locals to explain to members that any information or notification regarding bargaining will be shared as soon as it is received by the bargaining committees.  This bargaining committee's objective is to negotiate a fair contract for our membership and we know it will take time to achieve.  We appreciate your patience while we work to accomplish this goal.
