Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 45

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Team met with the Company today to hear the Company’s preliminary response to our recent proposal. While the Company expressed interest in several of the unions demands contained within the proposal, they still continue to exhibit the concern of a company on the verge of bankruptcy.

The Union questioned the calculations the Company provided and also continued to hammer home the need for the return of contracted work. The Company explained they are continuing to perform additional calculations and should have a counter-proposal for the Union next week.

Members need to commit 100% to the mobilization activities across all work locations to show this company that any counter-proposal must be a fair proposal for all of our members.
