Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 50

The Mid-Atlantic Bargaining Team subcommittees on absence and jobs met today with the Company subcommittees in an attempt to move forward on several of our critical bargaining issues. Our committees stressed the priorities we need to have addressed in order for us to make progress. The informal subcommittee meetings are an effort to move the bargaining process forward through the frank open dialogue over the issues preventing us from getting to a fair agreement. As we move forward, the bargaining team must see an effort on the company’s part if this process is going to be productive.

Our meetings in the various subcommittees will reconvene next week and as we meet, updates will follow. Keep up the pressure in the workplace and let the company know we will continue this fight to the end to get a fair contract.
