Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 8
Your CWA/IBEW Union Bargaining team met with the Company and continued our agenda passing our member’s proposals.
During the afternoon session the Company provided answers to the questions we asked in a previous bargaining meeting about their healthcare proposal. While management answered some of our questions, those answers then generated other questions about the proposal. The talks recessed for the day and will resume tomorrow.
In the meantime, Locals need to continue with their strike authorization votes and planning for the Rally at Verizon Headquarters in New York City on Saturday, July 30th. Members and their families from across the footprint will be joining in the fight to protect our wages, benefits and working conditions. Every member from every Local should be at this rally to send the message to Verizon that WE WILL NOT GO BACK!
