Verizon Local 13000 Bargaining Report # 11

Your CWA Local Bargaining Team met today off table. The committee spent the entire day reviewing the proposals and information that had been previously provided by the company. Our Local Bargaining Team is set to bargain 24/7 with this company in order to achieve a fair contract for our members. As of today, 5 days out from expiration the union is still awaiting information on some of the most important issues on the table. The company has yet to explain in detail their rationale behind several of their proposals and your bargaining team in good conscience cannot move on these issues until such time as these proposals are clearly explained and the requested information is provided. If the company is serious about reaching an agreement before the expiration of the current contract then they should get off there ass and get back to the table. If they are not serious then they will leave us no choice but to take the steps necessary to get our members the best contract possible. Scale up mobilization actions in the workplace to send the message to Verizon management that we aren’t interested in their concessions. Stand United!! Stay Mobilized!!
