Verizon Local 13000 Bargaining Report # 3
Local Bargaining resumed today with the Company. The Union submitted various proposals to the Company over vacations, short notice days, force transfers, term employee language, freezing of promotions and lateral transfers among several other proposals. All proposals were aimed at improving the work and family life balance for our membership. The Union’s message to the Company was clear and straight forward that with the consistent decline in staffing without a decline in workload, our membership needs the flexibility spend the quality time needed with our families. The Union is still awaiting the information we requested yesterday surrounding the Company’s initial proposals. Local Bargaining is set to resume on Tuesday July 7th. Members need to send the message in the workplace to the Company that we are united in this fight and will settle for nothing less than a fair contract. Attend your membership meetings, tailgates and stay in touch with your Representatives for updates and actions needed. Thank you to Chuck Simpson Local 2204 President and his membership for the gift sentsupporting our Bargaining Teams. Your support is greatly appreciated.
