Verizon Local 13000 Bargaining Report # 7

The Local Bargaining team met today with the company to continue to present proposals to improve the working conditions they experience on a daily basis in Pennsylvania. Our proposals addressed concerns the membership raised through our bargaining surveys and Unit Councils. Improvements to the safety Article of our Collective Bargaining Agreements were introduced as well as improvements to the grievance process. The company provided us answers to some of our outstanding information requests that were presented last week and the bargaining team we work to evaluate this information. Bargaining with the company is set to resume tomorrow where we will look to present additional proposals and get further clarification on the proposals the company has given us up to this point. This contract expires in 19 days and the membership needs to constantly show this company we will not bargain our jobs away. Stand up and fight one day longer than they expect. Make plans to get on a bus for the 7-25 New York Rally. Pick-up locations are posted on the Website and Facebook page and additional buses will be ordered as needed at locations.
