Verizon Local 13000 Bargaining Report # 8

The Local Bargaining Team met with the company today to obtain answers to some of the outstanding information requests submitted by the Union last week. The company responded by rejecting 9 proposals that the Union submitted last week. These proposals included improvements to vacations, excused workdays, holidays, forced transfers, guidelines for wearing shorts, as well as reimbursements for incidental expenses. The Union submitted additional proposals today that were designed to provide better provisions for its members. Your bargaining team has been aggressive throughout the entire bargaining process and will continue to make sure that the members’ issues are being addressed each and every day. It is clear that the company has no intention of providing any sort of improvements to the employees, which is why they need to see the mobilization activities increase in the workplace. We must remind them that we are ready to fight for our future and not allow them to take it away.

STAND UNITED! STAY MOBILIZED!
