Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 28
The Regional Bargaining team met today reviewing another proposal presented by the company over the weekend. The proposal continues to demonstrate the company's surface bargaining tactics. We have filed unfair labor practice charges against the company since there has been no attempt on their part to reach a satisfactory agreement.
The company behavior in bargaining has led Congressional Leaders to question the company’s bargaining tactics and urge them to initiate good faith bargaining.
To our members on the picket lines:
• Continue to carry the message to the public that this strike is about more than healthcare benefits. It’s about protecting the middle class jobs we have spent 50 years creating.
• Continue to participate in all strike activities, including talking to Verizon Wireless employees and picketing at Verizon Wireless stores. We need to have a nationwide united front.
• Continue the fight to protect what those who came before us have fought and died for.
Stay Strong – Stay United
STRIKE! – STRIKE! – STRIKE!
