American Airlines Bargaining Update: Late November 2023

The CWA-IBT Association Bargaining Committee reports:

The CWA-IBT Association Bargaining Committee met with American Airlines management last week in bargaining for a new contract.

We were able to make progress and are getting close to an agreement, however, most of the important issues are still on the table, including protection and wages. Our mobilization efforts are working so keep the pressure up.

The next mobilization dates are scheduled for the week of December 4th.

Additionally, we had discussions regarding the webcam that was sent out to trial locations. We confirmed that this is not for any interactions with customers, only for meetings with supervisors and managers. There is not a strict dress code, so it is acceptable to wear t-shirts or similar attire. There will be more direction on the use of the webcam.

Contact your local to participate in the mobilization efforts for the next bargaining as this is a very important time. Stay informed and share information with fellow members.
