Dex Media Bargaining Report #5

After receiving a Last Best Final Offer from the Company on Saturday that included no significant movement and no base pay improvements, the Union Bargaining team rejected the Company offer and made several counter proposals in order to obtain a reasonable and fair agreement.

Nothing in the Company Offer can be termed fair and reasonable, especially in the areas of Benefits and Compensation.

As of this writing, we are working without a contract. Effectively this means that the terms and conditions of the expired Labor Agreements remain in full force and effect. At this time, we should report to work on Monday as scheduled.

The Bargaining team thanks the membership from Virginia to Maine for the absolutely overwhelming Strike Authorization Vote. We are not on strike YET, and remain determined to come to a negotiated settlement if at all possible.

No additional bargaining sessions are scheduled at this time. We will provide an update as events warrant.
