DirecTV Call Center Workers Voted YES!

Historic news! For the first time, two thousand DIRECTV/ AT&T call center workers will be covered by the benefits and collective protection of a CWA contract. Workers at the centers ratified their first union contract by a majority vote.

CWA thanks our bargaining committee – Cindy Brown (Huntsville, AL), Lloyd Colvin (Tulsa, OK), David Hails (Denver, CO), Eli Martin II (Huntington, WV), Philip Withrow (Eden Prairie, MN), and CWA staff Kelvin Banks, Billy O’Dell and Pat Telesco – for their tireless efforts and commitment to securing the agreement.

In addition, CWA recognizes all of the DIRECTV/ AT&T members and locals for their strong participation, support, and commitment to the organizing, mobilization, and contract ratification efforts.

The newly ratified CWA agreements cover DIRECTV/ AT&T Customer Care and Commercial Retention workers in five centers. Workers in Tulsa, Oklahoma join the Purple AT&T Mobility Contract. Huntsville, Alabama workers join the Black AT&T Mobility contract. The Orange AT&T Mobility contract covers workers in Denver, Colorado; Eden Prairie, Minnesota; and Huntington, West Virginia.
