DirecTV Call Centers: Bargaining Report #1
The CWA bargaining committee met with AT&T today to begin transitioning the five DIRECTV Call Centers into the Mobility Regional Agreements (see links below).
The committee let the company know that we need a fair transition agreement in light of the fact that the employees have not had a raise all year. We also discussed the need for a quick transition to bargained-for healthcare from the non-bargained plan employees were forced into beginning next month.
We recessed for the afternoon while AT&T is getting answers to our questions on several issues regarding benefits, pensions and savings plans. We are continuing to review information and will meet with AT&T again tomorrow.
In Solidarity,
The DIRECTV Call Center Bargaining Committee: Eli Martin, II (Local 2009, Huntington, WV), Cindy Brown (Local 3905, Huntsville, AL), Lloyd Colvin (Local 6327, Tulsa, OK), David Hails (Local 7750, Denver, CO), Phillip Withrow (Local 7250, Eden Prairie, MN), Kelvin Banks (D3 Staff), and Pat Telesco (D1 Staff).
