DirecTV Call Centers: Bargaining Report #2

DirecTV NegotiationsThe CWA Bargainers met again with AT&T today and continued to stress the need for some immediate financial relief for everyone in the Call Centers.  AT&T must understand that people have not had a raise all year.

We discussed issues related to the Unfair Labor Practice charges filed by CWA prior to bargaining.

Another issue that was raised is the management healthcare plan that everyone in the Centers were forced to change to beginning next month.  It is the CWA Committee position that we need to move to the National Bargained Benefit Plan as soon as possible.

Progress was made on a couple of issues like the transfer of the 401(k) and other local issues.  We are waiting for the company to give us the policies that are being implemented in the centers.

Thank you for your support.  The best agreements are won by the workers at the centers.  The Committee can’t do this alone.  Stay Union strong!

In Solidarity,

The DIRECTV Call Center Bargaining Committee: Eli Martin, II (Local 2009, Huntington, WV), Cindy Brown (Local 3905, Huntsville, AL), Lloyd Colvin (Local 6327, Tulsa, OK), David Hails (Local 7750, Denver, CO), Phillip Withrow (Local 7250, Eden Prairie, MN), Kelvin Banks (D3 Staff), and Pat Telesco (D1 Staff).
