AVAYA
In early October, Avaya informed CWA of its plans to send U.S. billing and customer service operations overseas. In response, CWA President Claude Cummings stated: “We will pursue all avenues available to us to enforce our contract and protect our members at Avaya.”

CLIMATE REALITY
The CWA Local 2336 Bargaining Committee negotiated with Climate Reality over the company’s proposed layoff this month.
In negotiations over the contract, the Bargaining Committee reported that Climate Reality “continues to stonewall.” The bargaining team encourages actions that members take to support the union:

COMCAST (Corliss)
The CWA Local 13000 Bargaining Committee met with Comcast over the Corliss contract in October. The Bargaining Committee reported that the company failed to bring any meaningful proposals to the table.

DCCC
In their first session at the bargaining table with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, CWA Local 2336's Bargaining Committee introduced themselves and presented management with the outline of negotiation expectations. Read the first report here:

Employees of DCCC joined CWA Local 2336 in June 2025. The Local is negotiating the first contract for this bargaining unit.
DUQUESNE CLUB
On October 3rd, CWA Local 13500 members ratified a 4-year contract with the Duquesne Club. Wage increases and contract improvements were among the gains in this contract.

ENVOY

EVERYACTION/BONTERRA
The Bargaining Committee agreed to extend the current contract with EveryAction to November 5, 2025 while negotiations continue. Job security has been the focus of recent negotiations.

In October, the CWA Local 2336 Bargaining Committee passed a wage and wage table proposal to MissionWired. Check out the Local's full report.
CWA Local 2336 is negotiating the first contact for MissionWired employees, who joined in September 2023.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP (MUNICIPAL WORKERS)
Negotiations with the Township continued this month, as the Local 13000 Bargaining Committee presented their full economic package and submitted formal requests for information. In their report the Local stated:
It has become evident that if we are to be successful in this round of bargaining, the membership will need to be engaged in this process and send the message to the Township that they will not settle for less and will do what it takes to move our issues forward at the table. We will provide the membership with updates on future bargaining as events unfold.

PA UNITED
CWA Local 13000 announced a Tentative Agreement with PA United. Details about the ratification vote will follow from the Local. This is the first contract being negotiated for the bargaining unit.
