District 2-13 WV Gives to Salvation Army Angel Tree Project

CWA District 2-13's West Virginia office joined active and retired CWAers across the nation to give back to our communities. In December the West Virginia Office joined the WV Building & Construction Trades Council to adopt children as a part of the Salvation Army's Angel Tree Project. The CWA office adopted a 12-year-old boy and provided 99% of his "wish list" items!  The various Trades also adopted names from the Angel Tree.

As a group we met with the Salvation Army Staff on December 12, 2024 at the WV Building Trades Conference Room for lunch. The donated gifts were bagged and tagged for each adopted child and were then loaded into a large Salvation Army truck.  Everything was taken to organization's warehouse location where they were distributed to the family members of the children on December 20th.
