Frontier VA-WV Bargaining 2023 Bargaining Report #4

The CWA Frontier Bargaining Committee reported on July 21, 2023:

Bargaining continued this week between CWA and Frontier.

In June, the Company presented a proposal on Work-at-Home, which the Union countered to address provisions potentially detrimental to members. This week, the Company presented a revised Work-at-Home proposal. The Union is carefully evaluating the revised proposal in order to provide a response.

We previously reported the Company presented a proposal on Active Employee benefits. The Company’s proposal includes substantial increases in employee medical contributions, deductibles, and out of pocket expenses. This week, the Union presented its proposal on active employee benefits. The Union’s proposal recognizes the moderate overall increase in the cost of medical care, while seeking to maintain quality affordable healthcare – a top issue identified by the membership.

The Union is reviewing and preparing responses to the Company’s proposal on Retiree Benefits  (presented late June) and proposal on Term employee language (presented this week).

Mobilization activities continue. Thanks to everyone who has participated and provided photos to Local Mobilizers.

The strike vote is being conducted. If you have not received information on participating in the strike vote, please contact your Local as soon as possible.

Bargaining will resume July 25th.

IT’S YOUR FIGHT! IT’S YOUR CONTRACT! MOBILIZE!
