Maryland Broadband Brigade Meets with Governor Moore
Members of the CWA Maryland Broadband Brigade were joined by Maryland Local CWA Officers and a CWA Retiree President to meet with Maryland's Governor Moore on Thursday, February 1, 2024. The group reinforced concerns that the State enforce the labor standards submitted for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) plan. Maryland is still waiting on final approval. The group also questioned needed oversight for previous builds that were awarded under other federal funding.
