CCI-ILEC 2023 Bargaining Report #1

On Tuesday, August 22, the CWA Local 13000 Bargaining Committee reported:

We met with the Company via Zoom for a number of sessions to kick off bargaining today Tuesday, August 22, 2023. We passed a number of proposals based on your bargaining survey responses and designed to improve working conditions and work home balance. They included proposals on contract labor, training, scheduling, access to management, and others. 

The company’s proposals today let us know it’s going to be a challenging negotiation. Their proposals look for givebacks in many areas including attacks on your grievance rights, fewer holidays, and others. 

Talks are scheduled to resume tomorrow August 23, 2023. We have more proposals to give the company and anticipate further attacks on your bargained for rights. The committee appreciates your support!
