MissionWired First Contract Bargaining: Report #9

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the Local 2336 Bargaining Committee reported:

Hello fellow members:

Your CWA bargaining committee met with MissionWired today for an afternoon negotiation session. 

During today’s session, the Union questioned MissionWired further about 3 counters MissionWired had passed on August 14th.  These included changes they made to CWA’s proposals on Education & Training; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Hours of Work.   

MissionWired was able to provide further detail and after a brief caucus, CWA agreed to tentatively agree to changes on Education and Training; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as well as MissionWired’s counter on Employee Classification.  In addition an agreement was reached regarding a Pay Period proposal.

The Committee is scheduled to meet next week on September 18, 2024. 

Last week, the CWA bargaining committee met with MissionWired about the promotion and salary increases MissionWired proposed for the fourth quarter.  The Union advocated for increases in several of the proposed salary amounts. When the Union enters into theses discussions, we provide MissionWired with research from pay scale sites that help determine the national average; specific project information members provide the committee and comparisons to other changes being proposed.

Bargaining is a whole team effort, and it could not be done without the support of our members. Please wear RED the day of our next scheduled bargaining session on Wednesday, September 18th, to show support for and solidarity with the CWA Bargaining Committee.
