Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 62
The Mid-Atlantic bargaining team met in Rye New York this week. Several off table discussions were held with the Company regarding the Medical Restriction Policy. The MidAtlantic Committee also met with the North Committee regarding the company’s demand on Call Sharing. We have spent the last nine months in negotiations with a company that has shown little to no interest for our members’ issues. Instead, they have continued to pursue an agenda aimed at gutting our benefits, job security, pensions, work rules and much more.
Obviously, the company has not heard us so we must take this fight to a new level. It is more important than ever for our members to continue to mobilize. Every member needs to commit to spending 4 hours per week participating in mobilization activities.
